Staithes
It’s been a beautiful sunny day up here on the Yorkshire coast. We’ve had a fairly relaxing day exploring Staithes and Runswick Bay.
We cycled down a seemingly vertical hill to get into the harbour area. Booked a meal at the Cod And Lobster for Tuesday. Their signature dish is apparently, Cod and Lobster. Had a delicious crab sandwich at a different pub, explored the beach and found a little ammonite embedded in the rock. Then we had to cycle back up the hill. Thank goodness for electric bikes is all I can say about that.
Along the coast is Runswick bay. It was pretty busy today, being a sunny Sunday .
The hill up from there was longer and steeper and busier than that from Staithes , barely doable even with electric assistance. So we got off and pushed. Hard work. Found a delightful little tea garden at the top of the hill.

Then looking the other way towards the sea.
