Saturday: Prize Winning Marrow …

… certainly gets my vote! It was a very generous gift from my gardening neighbours this morning - I made a pan of delicious marrow and tomato veggie stew, which was this evening’s dinner :-))

MrD went off for a ride on his motorbike this morning but came back saying that the A5 was unbelievably busy, he chose to return via A55 and said it was unusually quiet!

I got washing dried outdoors - the washing line is in shade now as the Bramley apple tree is still in full leaf but temperature this afternoon went up to 20°C so all was well …

Gardening jobs: potted on mixed lettuce, started off Cavollo Nero and chives. Outdoor Tomatoes are doing well maybe well some late fruit, I tied in the plants as they’re getting tall. Potatoes I started off a couple of weeks ago sent shoots up so I’ve added mulch of leafmould collected from the garden paths, everything is useful :-)

Watching “Top of the Pops: Girl Groups”  BBC2 - Supremes, The Bangles, Sister Sledge, 3 Degrees, B*witched, Goldie & the Gingerbreads - the soundtrack of our youth!! :-)) … Bananarama with backing band Fun Boy 3 …!!
