G and K finally got the keys to their cottage yesterday so I’ve been up this afternoon to have a nose about and ended helping in the garden. This the conservatory along with the description from the estate agent…it’s as well they can see beyond the condition of the place at present to what it could be! They’ve spent today gutting the garden…torn down a fence and a potting shed; strimmed the whole garden; cleared around the walls of the property to allow some air into the vents and K and I cleared out the overgrown trees and shrubs at the end of the house. It’s already made a big difference and given them a lot more space. They’ve got their work cut out ahead of them to make it into a home but they’ll get there. They’re off to South Africa later this week on a two week driving tour which will give their architect time to draw up some potential plans.

Extra was a find in the garden and I gained a pot full of gravel to use in the bottom of some new planters…plus there was plenty more if I needed it. I managed to load the car up with some more of my stuff before heading home.
