Peace and quiet

Quiet after the storm. A great couple of days including a 1000th blip, a successful PhD defence, lovely weather, and a conference that concluded with the first showing of some animation of 'citizenship stories'.

A number of us had great fun live tweeting our conference. First time we've done that. Later on today, I'm going to have a go at 'storifying' what we did. If I manage it, I will also post it here.

We've just been for a wander around Leith, admiring its contradictions. What was once the Kirkgate is now a mix of some of the most horrendous and some of the most interesting buildings in Leith. Here is South Leith Churchyard, roasting gently in the sunshine, and looking at haven of peace and quiet.
