From the dark corner.....

To sleep, perchance to dream...

There aren't many visible mealworms, I say to all the anti worm brigade. The Starling family were covering them up! I'd not seen that many on the feeder at one time and I was glad I caught them especially as I caught sod all else today. I think we could do without my favourite pigeon and Foxy was asleep most of the day and barely blinked when a bold magpie gave him a peck before flying up into the apple tree cackling.

I'd felt pretty tired this week but was determined to get back to a normal routine and do lots of walks while the weather was half decent. I walked the long way home Monday and Wednesday and on my home working days, I logged off at 15:15 on the dot, ran upstairs to get changed and headed straight off up the road for a wander. Despite all the walking, I haven't slept that well but as I'm only ever a 4-5 hour max person, I wasn't worried.

What happened today? Well, I finished work and went upstairs to get changed, had a lovely chat on the phone for half an hour and then lay down on the bed to pull my jeans on and dozed off until mom rang at 18:30 wondering why I was late phoning!

Too late to go out after that, stomach crying for dinner etc. so that was that. I enjoyed my unexpected two and a bit extra hours sleep anyway! That was an unusual gift.

Track? A bit of Robert Plant for a change, this is probably my favourite one from the Fate of Nations album - The Greatest Gift
