Fehmarn Island

After a very long 370 mile drive we have now arrived in North-Eastern Germany ready to catch the ferry to Denmark tomorrow.

It was a good days driving until we hit major roadworks at Hamburg which delayed us for the best part of an hour. The campsite where we are staying is situated on the Southern edge of this island and the beach from which I took this picture is about 100 metres from our pitch.

The weather is fantastic. Pleasantly warm and sunny and the wind has now dropped.

The internet here is very slow (despite paying for it) so commenting will be a real problem. Sorry - I will catch up when I can. The last 3 days in Amsterdam we were spoilt with free fast WiFi. The WiFi here is costing me 6 euros and is almost unusable
