Amber enjoys shifting her stuff round the house, but finds getting a bed upstairs is a big challenge. 

A better day for B. It is hard to believe that this is a summer Bank Holiday, it has been cold and damp. We’ve done bits and pieces and caught up on sleep. 

TV this evening has been a gem for us. The Edinburgh International Tattoo is an event that we have wanted to attend for many years, but failed to do so. The next best is to watch it on TV. The music evokes so many memories over decades. It’s quite emotional in a happy sense. It was awesome.

It was followed by a programme on Channel 4 about RAF Lossiemouth. More memories from when B was stationed there in the 1970’s with the introduction of the Jaguars. We were there when R was born. I remember the station much earlier, as a child, when it was a Naval Air Station, HMS Fulmar, in the 1950’s and 60’s with noisy Buccaneers and Gannets. 

This has certainly kept our interest and both of us awake all evening. He is improving ….thank goodness.
