Wheelbarrow Ride
Bank Holiday Monday. Normally, we would go to Shepshed Carnival, which was held today, but last year it was heaving and there was nowhere to sit. The tea tent was full.
Instead, we returned to Oscar's Pumpkin Patch at Elms Farm in Costock, where the sunflowers and cottage garden flowers were blooming. No William today. We took our chairs and I made my own sandwiches. There was a cake stall even with a rather sticky raspberry and peach gluten free cake.
There were tractor rides and the hay bales and maize maze were still there. After coffee and sandwiches and a nice sit in the open air, we went to gather some sunflowers and some of the cottage garden flowers. We had to keep Basil on a lead because there were other dogs there, unlike three weeks ago.
I thought it a lovely family venue. As you can see, one Dad took advantage of the wheelbarrows and gave his little daughter a ride.
I used my lens baby velvet to take some photos of the flowers, see extras.
