Day 3 Mayia, Kiotari Rhodes

Today was spent in and around the pool and we also walked to the local shops.  We were really shocked to see the change since last year. There are a few shops closed- possibly due to the fires or just financial reasons- there was one cafe bar that had been burnt out completely but the shops either side were still open and undamaged. At the back of the shops and to the sides there were a lot of charred remains and the locals are working hard to get back on their feet and replace, repair and paint the damage. I wish them luck but it was extremely quiet with hardly any customers.
After tea, we were about to sit in the bar area and play games when I spotted this preying mantis.
