An Army of Alpine Crocuses ...
... Marching towards the Sunlight.
As soon as the snow melts, up come the beautiful white and purple crocuses in this part of the Alps. However my favourite flower, which comes at the same time, is the Alpine Snowbell or Soldenella Alpina. This has to be one one of the most delicate alpine flowers and yet it has to be so tough. This morning's walk, from Solalex to Anxiendaz, was stunningly beautiful but there is far too much snow for really high mountain walks at the moment so I saw no one. What a privilege that was on this normally crowded Alpine walk.
In large you can count the crocuses here!
Thanks you to all who sent the "aerial view" of Lake Geneva to the spotlight.
