……. from the Burleigh Bridge. The poplars are still in winter mode, minus their leafy gowns. Spring is just around the corner, less than a week away. Maisie and I walked early. Not very many people about even though it was daylight for most of our walk. I spent several hours working on the strip of garden along the edge the driveway. It’s quite satisfying seeing the now weed-free areas. The predicted rain arrived up from further down the South Island around 3.30pm. These days I am having to take any opportunity to comb Myrtle. She is starting to get some knotty areas on her underbelly. That is no surprise as she has an enormous winter coat this year.
