Strawberry Hill #2

Rory's mum and dad got delayed by traffic this morning and didn't get here until lunch time so only had time to pick him up and whisk him away to a barbecue they were going to in Cheltenham, meeting up with some of daughter#1's old school friends. We didn't even get to see Joe as he stayed in the car.

We weren't really sure if there would be time to see them again on their way home but couldn't risk going out anywhere so I popped into the garden for a blip. The roses we the gardener planted earlier this year are producing a second batch of flowers. I blipped the first batch back in June. I noticed one flower had a bug inside and he obligingly popped out for a close up before moving on.

In the event we did see everyone again. Rory wanted to have tea with us so they fetched fish and chips from Simpsons before coming on to us. Afterwards we had a bit of time playing with Joe before they had to depart, which was nice.

It's very quiet here now.
