After Breakfast Clean Up

I watched as this Barred owl flew up out of our pond onto a sunny perch in a nearby tree. No idea if she had scored a frog for a late breakfast or not. Maybe she just wanted to take a quick bath. Sitting for a while she preened and paid attention to her beautiful tail and wing feathers. Eventually she flew back to her perch above the pond. She sat quietly for some time and then flew off, probably to her daytime resting spot. Do check the *extras...for more owl photos.
