Mural Time

Gainesville is a town of many murals. While out and about this morning I spotted these two. I very seldom take photos of other people's art but they just begged me to share them with you! The main one, titled 'Hogtown Express' was created by Visionary FAM, Mural Production Company. It's on a main road near the Univ.of FL. Many folks believe that Gainesville was once called 'Hogtown', but historians consider them to be separate communities and that 'Hogtown' was a 19th century village of Seminoles (Native Americans) who raised hogs. The mural in my *extra...was spotted in another area of town. It was created by artist Ruben Ubiera, a Miami based Street Artist, for the Grove Street Neighborhood.
