Hydrangea

My hydrangea bushes have continued to amaze me this year, continuing to produce blooms long after they normally do. Not a lot but enough to make things colourful when looking out a back window or in the backyard.

Today they gave me enough nice blooms to make myself a nice bouquet.

Kent and I were in the yard working this morning when I got a call from my friend in the hospital. They were stressed as they had been told they were being discharged but not yet accepted in rehab as rehab didn’t yet have a copy of their discharge paperwork.

I had a quick shower and was on my way to the hospital. It was a painful 4 hour wait before finally hearing that rehab had the paperwork but were not willing to take them as not recognizing them as fully recovered!

A social worker is involved and trying to get this sorted. Should they stay in the hospital or is there not a way to get rehab to take them? This goes on for another 4 hours!!

The healthcare system failed!

They could stay in the hospital as considered too well, but couldn’t go to rehab as considered too ill

I ended up helping to gather up all their things and taking them to their friend’s place where they will stay for a few days.

I’m exhausted. So glad it is Friday Happy Weekend Everyone
