Working lives

We had our last aqua aerobics class this morning.
The pool closes for two months for renovation though I suspect it will be much longer once they start dismantling it because it is quite old now.

A few of us discuss moving to the university pool where they have a very vigorous aqua aerobics class (ours is a leisurely affair). But they are apprehensive fearing young ultra fit athletes will surround them.
I assure them this is not the case but they are not convinced.

Talking of changes.
Learnt today that my former hairdressing salon is now a training school for engine drivers.
(The trains are simulated.)

Confession time- despite my disparaging blip about the latest hairdresser in town I succumbed and tried it out.  Yes I liked it especially the fresh coffee and hand made sweets. It used to be an art gallery. This brings the total of hairdressers in town to five, not bad for a population of 5,000.

Not sure what this proves except it is getting increasingly hard for folk to make a living selling stuff as we all shop online.

So far you can’t have your hair cut virtually by someone half way around the world.
