An ancient hobby

Spotted this man with a bird of prey at a local event. He had paid a small sum to be photographed with it. 
 
He was one of a long queue of people of all ages waiting to re-connect even briefly to an ancient hobby going back over 2,000BC years. It is believed to have originated in either Mesopotamia and Outer Mongolia and it arrived in Britain around the 9th century AD.
