Purple

This morning I was up relatively early, since Y's defence was at 08:00 UK time. The others on the jury were her tutor in Paris, and one of the EDF guys she's been working with. She did well, pacing the talk to the required 20 minutes, and then answering most of the questions well. Afterwards we deliberated over the mark - in French, probably because I'd started chatting to the others in French when I joined the call, and it was a good test for me!

Afterwards I refactored a lot of the code that Y and I have been working on this summer, and started to get some results to use in my talk next week.

After A came home, I walked Django, but the weather was too dull to see the purple colour of the Pentlands
