A Stroll to the Beach

Woke up to get a message from Italy, Verity has done really well in her GCSEs, well done darling girl, fantastic result after the past couple of really tough years for you.

Do you want to go to Llanddwyn Island asked Tim, of course we said.
Just the beach or a walk through the forest? he added.
Forest would be good we agreed.

Little did we know we would be doing over 20, 000 steps, l had the wrong trousers, wrong footwear and no water.
Was imagining a little stroll through some woods , then the beach.
Note to self, always check your route before setting off.

Luckily we encountered no problems and Tim had brought water.
It seemed a long way to get the beach,  mostly because we decided to take the longer route to see and walk next to Malltraeth Sands but it was so worth it and we were frankly in awe when we got to the beach.
Adele stayed on the beach with Peggy whileTim an l made it to to island, it was spectacular as we looked over the Menai Straights into Snowdonia.

Felt fit all the way, which was pleasing as l’ve had a real holiday from exercise the last couple of weeks.
Had my final ice cream of the holiday, no pistachio left so it was back to coffee, not disappointed:-))
