Yes Miss!
I forgot to say yesterday that I should have know it was going to be a slightly disappointing day when I followed the satnav on the way to Toddington, rather than go my normal way. It took us down a gated road. Mrsfb had to get out to open and close a gate to let us through. A first for us.
We've had a less exciting day today. Just a trip to Witney. Mrsfb had some clothes to return to M&S, then we had some lunch (easier said than done, everywhere was rammed) then we had a quick look around the museum where I got my blip. She used to be a teacher you know.
When we got home a new pair of wellies were delivered for Rory, so we had a walk down to the river to try them out.
In the morning I'd had a very interesting face to face GP appointment. I wore a T-shirt as I wanted him to look at a spot on my neck (all OK). He seemed baffled by the words on the shirt (extra). I said it was subtle, he said a bit too subtle for him. Answers on a postcard maybe? To be fair he is probably the only person who has ever commented on one of my T-shirts.
The main point of interest came up after I told him that, by the way, we had just had Covid. He was surprised that we had tested and isolated, and asked why we had bothered. The general medical view, he said, was that Covid has now mutated into something similar to a bad cold and flu, which we don't test for. We should only need to take precautions as we would with bad cold or flu symptoms and just avoid seeing at 'at risk' people. No need to test or generally isolate in his view. I really didn't agree. It was good to know that we actually had it, and also when we were over the infectious stage. Oh well.
