The Giant

It's been another lovely, warm day. My sister and I went into Northwood to do some food shopping. Along one road there were tree surgeons  pollarding the lime trees. This made this striking Giant Sequoia  even more obvious than  usual. It really is very close  to this apartment block, (barely 5 metres away).  I presume it was planted in the garden of a big old house, which later was demolished, to make way for these flats, but the tree had to stay.
We've also been tidying up my Mum's garden (it does have an oak tree and  some ash trees, but fortunately, none so tall or as close to the house as this  Sequoia.)
Martin made his signature vegetable lasagne tonight, which we all enjoyed. The Aussie visitors are still tired from the jet lag, and have retired early again. We all have a busy day ahead of us tomorrow.
