Rolling Back the Years

In June 2003 while staying in Lauterbrunnen, I collected a few seeds of Crocus vernus albiflorus in Soustal, a side valley off the Lauterbrunnen Valley.  Despite some rather patchy care I still have three corms all these years later.  The flowers are white and from the look of these corms I might see one or two next Spring.

A day that dragged on at times.   The (locum but very helpful) GP was due to phone this morning but had emergencies to deal with.  Rachel in with Jamie meant I was able to get out so an hour after the call was due I did pop to pottery ... and Jamie took a call with Rachel soon after I left.   The Dr wanted to talk to me too and offered to try and call around 12 .... but that didn't come through until 230.  More hanging around when I could have been out walking Meg.  It was no-ones fault, just a bit frustrating.   Meg then did get a walk and I picked a few more blackberries and while I was doing that Rachel worked some magic with Jamie.  When I returned he was definitely brighter and thinking a bit more clearly.  Despite a bit of a dip early evening, he's more with it again as I type.   Hoping this progress is maintained, even if we might expect a few ups and downs along the way.

A quiet evening split between the greenhouse and time with Jamie.  I needed to pop to the Coop for a few things, including ice cream to have with the last of the home-made cookies.  I popped in to see the singers too and we dashed through Wellerman while I was there.  Hoping I can soon play a full part again.
