Christ Piece

Early start 6.30 walking the hound.  Prepared his breakfast with a heavy lid for OH to feed at 8am.  Headed off at 7.35 to the bike shop to put my bicycle in for a service.  Arrived at bike shop at 7.50, ten minutes before opening but my bicycle was still accepted.  

Caught bus home, arriving at 8.25.  The blip is the view from Christ Pieces, a park near the bus station and bus stops in town.  Had breakfast. OH cut grass.  Put a washing load on, vacuumed downstairs, hung washing out.  Trimmed grass where I'd asked OH not to mow where plants were growing.  

Sat down indoors for a while and phoned friend, Giovanna to invite over tomorrow afternoon. 

Next door have scaffolding being put up and dismantling a rear extension.  It's not been pleasant to sit out to be honest.

Headed to bus stop around 2.30 to fetch bicycle.  It was pretty hot walking to the bus stop and to the bike shop. 

No major problems with my bike.   And she works like a dream.  The gears had been temperamental and now they click positively into place.  It's a great bike shop.

I used to take my past bicycles to a different place.  There I was advised how I could do X repair myself.  I thought they were missing the point of their role: I bring my bike for YOU to repair and I pay you.  And every time the brake blocks rubbed against the wheel. 

Second dog walk after dinner.

Now to watch something before bed.
