Maranatha or Prayer Plant.

One of the aspects of moving house after 33 years, was discovering how much I had taken as second nature for many things I had grown to be at home with, not least of all, where the house plants were most at home too. Shade or sunshine can have a serious effect on plants.
The longed for conservatory is still a joy, but when it gets too hot I have had to move big plants to more merciful locations within our house.
I am not sure yet if this dear Maranatha is happy in the front room where the morning light is superb. The plant rolls the leaves up to show the reddish underside, and I hope that is not a bad sign.
