Meet 'Windswept'

Not everything went smoothly today.
In fact - I am not sure anything went smoothly (apart from the upload which seems to be working properly).

The drinking vessel didn't sand as clear as I hoped - probably due to not having a pressure pot to get rid of minute air bubbles.

I made a bit of a faux pa with sizing the eyes, which led to 'an interesting time' drilling the holes (my hand drill doesn't quite hold the correct drill size ... and the batteries were dead on my new drill. A handle was made to hold the drill bit and I ended up with a pile of works in progress.

While out in the garage I went to prepare a couple of chunks of wood for making boxes and/or vases and found a problem with the chuck not seating properly on the big lathe so had to take some of it apart, clean it ( that was fun .... and quite illuminating). Surprisingly, everything went back correctly and it solved the seating problem .... for the moment.

The work in progress was completed - and I am not making any more mice for quite some time!!!!!
