Rest Day

A much better night's sleep. 

Mrs IttH took Missy to meet a new dog home stay today (our old person put their prices up 150%, which just feels wrong) so I was left to occupy myself. Never wise.

We've had some 4"x2" in the yard for a while waiting for me to repair some rotten cross beams (easy) on the pergola, so off I set. And discovered the main supporting beams and several of the support postd were totally shot, pretty much being held up by clematis and honey suckle.
Excellent, a problem to solve. 
A quick trip to the DIY superstore bought some  replacement posts.
Pretty close to all the tools used, and intricate problem to work out how to replace the structural parts without making it all fall down.

I Iistened to the Lionesses as I went, and then a lot of Fleetwood Mac, and six hours later it's pretty much rebuilt. We've been here over 12 years so hoping it will last at least that long again.

And.
No computers, research papers, or trashy movies.
