Meet Bella

I've had a very productive day on housework, including taking two large garden waste bags to the tip so they are ready to refill.

Huddsbird arrived early evening and we went to the Chinese buffet in town. We haven't been since before COVID. You no longer serve yourself from the buffet, it's all table service in small portions and you can keep ordering whenever and as much as you'd like. The table waiters are six of these robots - cats named Bella. You order through an app and Bella delivers to you. You can also interact with her in a fun way. She likes her head patted but tells you off politely if you tickle her ears. She asks you to move if you get in her way and she giggles. It was also fun to see two of them converse when they nearly collided and one turned and went a different way. We chatted with real staff. The robots haven't made anyone redundant. When COVID made them go to table service the staff were run off their feet so they got the robots in to help. Now they are an attraction and the restaurant is busier so they've taken on more real staff.

As usual, it was a fun evening with lots of catching up.
