Damsons

Was out dog walking just after 6.30 this morning.  The sky was hazy and the sun was a silver cloud-filtered disc.  The haze gradually cleared in an hour. 

After the kitchen was free of breakfasters started the jam making.  I did count the number of fruit involved so that I had a good idea of how many stones to remove.

I have about 8 jars of wine-coloured, delicious preserve now.  Will try on my weekend toast breakfasts.

After lunch read outside in the sunshine.  The light is altering and has a mellow quality.  

Second dog walk after dinner.  The sky was different from this morning contrails and feathery clouds drifting by.  A change to come, I think.
