Leaving da Granite City

A fairly dull and overcast day, with some sunshine this evening.

Up early, time to move on again.  First stop was to see friends Joyce and Geordie Murison near Netherley.  Next stop was Portlethen for some shopping.  The afternoon was spent in Aberdeen and around the city centre.  Homeward bound on the ferry tonight.  The ferry goes via Orkney, making it a 14 hour trip.  Good to see some familiar faces again.

A fine day in Aberdeen, just about got everything I was needing.  Sad to see the city decline again, with more shop closures, old pubs gone and some desperate souls begging on the streets.  I hope the city can turn itself around, always fond memories from youth.  Looking to the granite city from MV Hjaltland, Aberdeen.
