Fruitless trip to the travel agents

After dropping Phin at daycare we decided to head out to Livingston to the designer outlet. Disappointingly there was very little in the way summer/holiday clothes to be found. We did both manage to pick up some trainers so it wasn’t a wasted journey.

We had also popped into the travel agents to have them price up a proposed trip to Japan. I’d found a cruise online which started in Japan and after a few stops headed across the Pacific to Anchorage. Apparently the prices online are not ‘live prices so the cruise alone was more than double the price I’d seen and flights were going to add another £5K plus to the cost. So we decided we’d do a bit more research and will probably put together our own trip if we go ahead. Checking flight prices when we got home was much less costly so not sure where the travel agent was getting the cost from!

Collected Phin who must have been up to his tricks again as he wasn’t hungry for dinner. The people who run the daycare have been quite distracted the last couple of weeks after losing their fourth dog (old age and illness) in a year as he’s never been able to get into the food store before so I’m hoping when he’s back at daycare next that there won’t be a repeat. They’re taking holidays for the next three weeks and we’re way the week after that so he won’t have any opportunities to try and overeat. I assume they’ll be more diligent at keeping the food store under lock and key gonna forward. If not, we may need to consider if there’s a better place for him to be to socialise.

I’ve caught up on my squares and will join them onto the blanket tomorrow.
