Family dinner

Heavy rain overnight meant the ground was a little boggy underfoot this morning, not that I’m complaining as it was much needed.

However did the roof really need to leak? Luckily I had a number of a roofer who appeared within 30 minutes, took a good look around and managed to patch the leak. He then refused payment but as he’s a friend of my neighbour I’ve asked him to take the roofer a nice bottle of red wine in lieu of payment.

Collected Miss PHL from her work and brought her home for dinner. Chicken fajitas plus a wee bit of steak as an extra protein. Foolishly put the food on the table without checking who had eyes on the dog and you’ve guessed it, he attacked the plate with the steak on, managing to snaffle about half of it before we dragged him away. 10 minutes in the kitchen by himself saw him being very contrite and keen to make amends by licking us madly.
