Trixie's summer adventures - Dunbar

Jumped on a X7 bus and went to Dunbar for the day. First I had a walk all the way along this massive beach. It was great! I was running and running and running and there was hardly anyone else there. How fabulous was that?! Then we walked round the coastline to the town where I had to go back on my lead while we had a little mooch about in the High Street.

The two rules of my 'summer adventures' are.......................... we have to go somewhere that I can have a nice walk and we have to go somewhere that there will be nice doggie friendly cafes for Ann to have lunch.
Unfortunately today, we did not find a nice cafe. All the cafe's that Ann liked were full and the one's that weren't full........... Ann didn't like. So I got tied to a lamp-post while she went into a shop to buy a ham & cheese sandwich. And she didn't share!!

Coming home, we jumped on the 253 bus which is the Berwick-Upon-Tweed to Edinburgh bus.

Question for OAP Scottish bus pass owners – If we wanted to go on an adventure to Berwick-Upon-Tweed, would Ann get free travel for the whole of the route, or would she have to pay once the bus past over the border into England? Does anyone know the answer?

Anyway, loads of people made friends with me while I was on the buses today and two people commented that they'd never seen such a well behaved doggie on a bus before. Mmmmm.......... we'd walked 2.5 miles to get to the bus stop going, and on the way back I'd walked another 5.5 miles in Dunbar, so I was pretty tired and in desperate need of a snooze! Ann was very, very proud of me.

BTW, I don't think I've updated you all on my 'silly puppy jumping up'. I don't do it anymore. Yay!  Ann only realised this the other day when a black Lab 'jumped up' at her and left muddy pawprints all over her trousers. She suddenly realised I hadn't done any 'silly puppy jumping up' at random people for ages and she felt like such a 'smug Collie pup mummy' when the black Labs owner was apologising to her. Lol! I still try to 'jump up' when friend's come to the flat but Ann has 'trained' all her friends not to give me any attention until all my paws are on the floor. It's only taken 4 and a half years. Lol!!!

We've had a lovely day out and I'm very, very, sleepy. So is Ann, but she's off out for dinner now.

Happy Wednesday evening Blippers. xxx
