Whitehaven Harbour

A beautiful sunny day, the odd cloud passing over, and lovely and warm.  A beautiful evening too.

The AA arrived early this morning, sadly the car had to go to the garage, hopefully get it back tomorrow morning.  A broken spring has sprung, too many potholes around England.  A day walking around Whitehaven, coffee shops and lunch.  Another woods walk this evening.  The Airbnb owners have been generous and given us an extra evening free of charge.  Very thankful to them, a night on the streets wouldn't be great.  

Due to the car in the garage, plans heading north and meeting friends has come to a standstill.  We probably would have made it home with a broken spring, but I'd rather get there safely and not in a wooden box.  As we headed down to the town harbour, I gazed across the water, there's Scotland in the distance, we'll be home soon enough.  In the meantime, it was a pleasant day to be down at the old harbour.  Looking towards the Rocket Brigade House and the West Pier Lighthouse, Whitehaven, Cumbria.
