On the boardwalk

It was grey and overcast with a forecast for rain so I took Bertie for a woodland walk at Crathes Castle. He loved the tracks we followed and had a great time catching up with “peemails”!
In the middle of the afternoon there was a sudden torrential downpour and the fisherman got soaked as he had left his wading jacket on the bank. However, he enjoyed himself, coming into contact with several fish, one of which gave him a good fight (and won).
We felt quite sad having one last meal in the hotel restaurant and saying goodbye to the lovely staff who have been so friendly and attentive throughout our stay.
