The Tavistock Canal

Today's blip was taken on my walk along the Tavistock canal. The main image was taken close to Tavistock where the canal is fairly open. As you walk further away from the town it flows mainly through the trees. I have grown to love this walk. I always feel it is a walk back through history. It is very atmospheric and beautiful in all seasons. The water is taken from the River Tavy and flows along at a gentle pace. Today it was full from the recent rains. The extras provide a bit more of an idea of what the canal looks like.
