The Isle of Arran

Part 2 of my holiday began today with a train ride from Glasgow Central to Ardrossan Harbor where I took the ferry to Arran.  Absolutely gorgeous weather!  Clockwise from upper left…leaving Ardrossan harbor, the steam yacht the Waverly (if I’d arrived yesterday I could have taken a cruise around Arran! A day late and a dollar short as they say!), the hotel pub where I had lunch, Henry and his new bff, Delores, the Douglas Duck, the private garden adjacent to my room, and the front of the Douglas Hotel where I’ll be “camping out” until Thursday.  (If you want to learn about this amazing, award winning boutique hotel, here’s a link.  Gift#225: being on Arran.
