Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh

A walk around town watching street theatre - including a magician who tailored his entire act to enable a young girl, who decided she wanted to be involved before he even sought any volunteers, to participate throughout (she was four and a half).  

The rain at least halved the audience for a street performer from Canada who continued his daring feat even as it lashed down and the thunder clapped. 

A walk around the art fair seeing the work of talented people yet I left uninspired to make any purchase.  

On to the peace of the Botanics - the crowds kept away by the heavy showers and the attractions of the Fringe.
