Reach for the ground!

Not all the sunflowers are standing proud, but they are all past their best.
Later on, after a day spent washing and ironing gîte bed linen, we cooked oyster po’ boy, shucked some fresh oysters, made a shallot vinaigrette and shared them with our gîte guests. I think we have one definite oyster convert, and one who is trying to like them!
