Out for lunch

I slept until 10 this morning, don’t know why.  I had a couple of coffees and messed about before I received a message from R asking if we wanted to go out for coffee ……most certainly!!! 

By the time I had showered, dressed and got ready, ditto for R in her house round the corner, we had missed breakfast and were ready for lunch. 

We headed out to Denstone Hall Farm shop and cafe, a first visit for us, but R had been before. It has a reputation for being a bit pricy, but superb quality food and products. It was busy, but not crowded, with lots of young families and happy looking people. B & I ordered burgers, chicken and beef, as we normally do to share on a first visit to see portion sizes and which we prefer. R ordered cake, with the intention of taking some of it home to S who was working on a task needing to be completed before he goes back to work tomorrow. It was delicious, but enormous, I struggled as usual. B and I will be back soon to order one chicken burger between us and a piece of cake to share. 

There are lots of other areas selling food and other stuff!! We said ‘we will have a look, but not buy anything’!!! Famous last words!! It was fun looking round and we bought cards for the upcoming birthdays of friends and family. I’ve got my eye on a couple of things that I might convince myself are needed!! 

It was good to catch up with R and hear about the events of the past two weeks. I do feel very proud of the achievements of her and her team. 

On the way home we were able to check out places to walk in the area.
