What a fabulous day we have had.

Seriously, proper loved it. We had a slow morning, I had a nice call with Alison. We could have done that at any time but it seemed obvious while I’m in Edinburgh. She lives in Glasgow.

Then we set forth on the bus, a bit drizzly but I had my aryton senna anorak so I wasn’t worried. We were aiming for a free show but the queue was massive, the room was tiny and we were at the top of the queue when they said it was full. So we wandered off, a nice lady asked us if we liked musicals- oh yes, we go. She sent us round the corner to a very excellent comedy musical about a Deliveroo romance. Was funny and wonderful.

Then we went for a slap up sushi lunch where we also managed to squeeze in bao, gyoza, seaweed and Katsu curry. Then round for the rest of the day at the Pleasance Courtyard, three great shows- Ania Magliano, Ivo Graham (in extras!) and Mark Watson with some cards in the gaps while we were waiting. All so funny, we have laughed an awful lot. Mark Watson was the best but really, there hasn’t been a duff note all day.

I have always thought that the fringe would be overwhelming and chaotic and difficult to find what you wanted to enjoy. Today I have seen fliers and posters for absolutely loads of shows I want to see, it is overwhelming and chaotic but we found our feet today and it’s been fantastic . I could stay for the week!

I have also been excellent in just leaving Will to be quiet and not go on at him for not being the chatty guy. V proud of myself.

A few extras…..
