Hello To Dysart

Aaron and Alicia are flying off on the next stage of their travels to Spain and Portugal tomorrow.  Both were interested in walking a part of the Fife Coastal Path and Pat had suggested Dysart to Kirkcaldy.

The weather was quite sultry and whilst walking around the foreshore at Dysart we started a discussion with one of the home owners at Pan Ha.

The conversation became quite detailed and discussed the effects of coal mining on the area, the relationship with the nearby monastery and the reconstruction of the houses.

It was time well spent although it did eat into the time for walking. Today’s Blipfoto shows Dysart foreshore from the high level path as requested by Pat.

We enjoyed an excellent meal at the Annapurna Gurkhas Restaurant in Kirkcaldy High Street. Quite a find and recommended by the resident of Dysart.

As for Kirkcaldy High Street, many of the shops have closed along with the various Bank branches. There is an air of decay although there are promising signs of a revival with different uses. Homes are also being developed.
