Dean Clough Mills
A breezy day, mostly sunny and warm again.
Up early, and did a clean around the house, then set off to Bradford for some shopping and lunch at Burger King. Mam and dad popped by late in the afternoon. They start their journey homewards tomorrow. It's Friday night, might have to nip down to the town for a pint or two.
Mam hadn't been into town for a look, so we headed down for a walk and look around, trying my best to be a tour guide in an area I know little about. I had seen this buildings from the motorway bridge, and was curious to see them, but couldn't quiet get the same view. The Dean Clough Mills were built in the 1840s, and turned into the largest carpet manufacturer in the world, closing in 1983. I assume this ram is linked with the wool heritage past. Many big mills dotted around the area, lovely old buildings. Taken at Crib Lane, Halifax, West Yorkshire.
