Crunchy
Crunching happily he didn't seem to mind bing blipped!
This fly was already a goner when I slithered the tripod carefully into the nettle patch this afternoon. Although he kept changing perches, a bit cheesed off that he was being stalked, he wasn't going to give up his afternoon tea for me or anyone!
I did run around after this yellow damsel and was a bit unsure as to what it was. Could it be a newly emerged female of some sort? Would love to have input if anyone has any ideas!!
I snapped this newly emerged blue too, high up in the hedgerow.
The coots on the canal are doing well - numbers down by a couple of cootlings but growing fast.
Car keys in my jeans pocket I slid down the slippery canal bank to be nearer the water to take a few shots. Managed then to scramble and skid my way back to the top very pleased with myself...till...on checking the pocket.. doing a bit of an 'ASDA price' tapping found they were not there and the pocket empty! As I hadn't heard a splash I knew they could only be somewhere amongst the reeds, brambles and undergrowth ....which they were..... after a rather panicky search!!
The rabbit, Peanut, was let out of it's cage last night for 'a bit of exercise' by someone (no names no pack drill) after I had put it to bed and has made a credible start on the Welsh dresser valiantly chewing it's way through part of the corner!! Aaaghhhhhh!! It might paint :( Peanut WILL be locked away tonight or there'll be big trouble!!
