Sunny day

Anyone who reads this rubbish regularly will know that I love the sun and enjoy a beach day whenever possible.  As we have had such an awful summer so far, beach days have been few and far between.  However the sun had promised to shine so we headed off with the car loaded and picnic packed.  We didn't arrive until early afternoon and stayed until late, enjoyed fish and chips and watching the sun go down and it was a great day.  No.1 enjoyed the sun although sat mostly in the shade and it was a lovely relaxing day (apart from the flies and the noisy children on the beach next to us and the tide being out until 6.30 - not complaining really!!).  We left around 8.30 to drive home but sadly the motorway was closed so we had to take a long cut across country but nothing could spoil our day.

I also have two legs so I am not sure why only one made it into the picture?!
