Determination paid off

The conditions were ideal, warm and not a breath of wind so I headed for the two areas in Pollok Park where there was a chance of spotting a butterfly.

In the Walled garden there was one Peacock on the rapidly withering Ligularia and we then moved on to the Buddleia bush where there was one Red Admiral who just refused to fully open its wings so that shot was a bit disappointing.

But where are all the other butterflies? In previous years there would be three or four on each Buddleia flower and the Yellow Ox-Eye daisies were nectar providers for many others .... sadly, not this year.
