Ripening

Lots of blackberries ripening but won't be picking any there - too close to the pollution of a main road.

MrM has spent much of today in bed, and has no energy. He's also lost his senses of taste and smell, and with them his appetite. (But maybe a little bit of weight loss will be the only benefit of Covid?)

I took advantage of a warm sunny day to wash and dry the big, heavy woollen curtains that we're planning to use for the French windows in the kitchen. A cold wash in the hope that they won't shrink! I made them 12 years ago when we lived in the Scottish Borders, and they haven't been used since we moved on from there 8 years ago.

Phoned the bank to establish why my debit card wasn't 'authorised' a couple of times recently. After a lengthy wait while listening to some delightful (not!) music, it was established that the 'strip' is faulty, so they're issuing a new one.

Apart from that some admin. and, in the evening, some gardening. Cleared a small space and planted out the white foxgloves, given to us by Jimmy and Sheena a while ago.
