Much of the tree felling below Sauchie Crag and near the reservoir is finished for the time being . The felled trees are stacked along the road side and they are then loaded on to trucks which are barely suited to the forest tracks. We reckoned ... By counting the rings on the trunks ..... that some of these trees have been there for nearly 40 years so you can imagine the difference this has made to the landscape.
