A Walk in the New Forest
After us boys played Aerobee in the drizzle, leaving Kindreth to wander off blissfully amongst the ponies, doing her whispering thing, we set off in search of some big trees. Despite living on the edge of the New Forest in my latter childhood, I had no idea that it was home to Redwoods and Giant Sequoias. They were magnificent.
The trees were hard to photograph. My brother and his family weren't so easy to photograph either. The boys were difficult to contain. Like little dogs they were endlessly running off in different directions to explore.
