Pla de Barrès

Today's walk was particularly easy, only 9 kms and less than 100 metres of ascent. We drove up high on the edge of the Cerdagne to avoid the heat and walked on a pleasant plateau through the forest and back by the river. It was enjoyable for a change as we had the opportunity to chat among friends without struggling for breath on steep climbs. We did think of stopping for an ice cream on the way back but decided we had not earned it this week!
