BMX Racing

The USA girl in the lead but the New Zealand girl just about to make her move.

First time I have been to this new venue in Glasgow which was very impressive.  The atmosphere was also great.  I started off sandwiched between the South African and Netherlands supporters, but when I moved to the  grandstand at the opposite side I was beside the Canadian and Danish fans who were even noisier.

The races are very slick with the start taking place while the previous one hasn't quite crossed the finishing line.  You can see them already lined up in the second last Extra.  The final Extra shows most of the course during the warm ups.    The only slight delays were when there were falls or collisions which happened a number of times so its quite dangerous.  Most were just walking wounded but one rider had to be taken off on a stretcher which I was there.
